PROJECT

EDUCATIVE

NATURE TRAIL

DEVELOPED FOR

Center Parcs

TO BE SEEN IN

Vossemeren (Belgium) and Bispingerheide (Germany)

DESCRIPTION:

After the welcome signs, Peerdrops was immediately asked to brainstorm ideas for the Nature Trails in two parks. The route was already established: the goal was to enhance it with interactive objects, in line with Center Parcs but with a Peerdrops touch!

"The ideal way to interactively discover our beautiful nature."

REGARDING THE ASSIGNMENT

PROJECT COMPONENTS

Concept work | Signing | Detailing | Illustrations | Interactive signs | Playground equipment

The nature trails were already established: you could explore them with an app or with a forest ranger who could tell you all about the beautiful nature you can find at Center Parcs. However, there was a desire to make this physically visible through interactive objects. After all, forest rangers don't constantly patrol the route, and relying solely on an app for navigation and information retrieval isn't optimal for experiencing nature.

After approval, there was immediate pressure: Everything had to be installed by the end of the American fiscal year (October 1st). That meant we had to go from sketch to installation within 3 months, right in the middle of the summer holidays. Thanks to our strong graphic department, a great collaboration with Maaike and Mara from Center Parcs, and our strong network, we pulled it off. On to the other 25 parks ;)

FUNFACT

In Bispinger Heide, a whole new world opened up for us! Do you know how many differences there are between a spruce and a pine? Probably not. Children there are now discovering this by climbing the knowledge bridge. In Vossemeren, you learn all about animal tracks on the same knowledge bridge.
