Our experience route "The WasMudPath" (Het WasWadPad) takes you through the Diepsterbos. A place where mudflats have given way to woods, and mudflat walkers to forest walkers. During the journey, you'll learn about this transition in a playful way.
"Make sure to bring your boots, if you are going to walk the 'WasMudPadth. Otherwise... well, it'll be the 'WasWetPath'!"

A renewed collaboration with architect Nynke-Rixt Jukema has led to the WasMudPath (WasWadPad). An experience route that starts at the active camping site Natuurlijk Kollumeroord and therefore also had to have a good active character. We used the transition from mudflat to forest as the theme, which has taken place here. In other words, from mudflat walker to forest walker.
The route takes you along 8 experience spots where you learn playfully about this transition, animals from then and now, the unique starry sky (in this Dark Sky Park), and more, to end up at the observation tower "Reiddomp", designed by Nynke-Rix. In this 45-meter high observation tower where you can, if you're lucky, see sea eagles, you can test your acquired knowledge of the WasMudPath (WasWadPad) again with the test panels present on each floor.
FUNFACT
At one of the experience spots of the WasMudPath (WasWadPad), you'll find another Allrounder© from us. This time featuring the Peerdrops games "Crab Race", "Fox Feet", "Porpoise Alarm", "Frog Run", "Deer Leap", and "Seal Roll"! Also fun for adults. 😀
